Welcome to the AGOR cyclotron home page. AGOR (Accelerateur Groningen-ORsay) is the result of the cooperation between the KVI, Groningen, and the IPN, Orsay. Its design was a joint effort of both the institues; building took place in France. After testing it was disassembled and moved to the Netherlands.
Since the beginning of 1996, AGOR has produced beams for experimental use. These pages aim to inform you about the cyclotron itself, its specifications and operating diagramme, and the various beams produced up until now. Furthermore, we have included some reports produced by the cyclotron group, pictures, as well as our favourite accelerator related links.
Experiments at the AGOR facility
