![]() GPAC Goes 2-0 in NAIA Opening Round Net Action The 2008 NAIA Volleyball National Championship Opening Round matches were played around the country at on-campus sites on Saturday. Today's twelve winners will join the top 12 teams that received a bye in the opening round and head to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa on Dec. 2-6, 2008.
Dordt and Doane each won in four sets on Saturday night. The Lady Defenders defeated Indiana Wesleyan 3-1, while the Tigers won at home against Bethel (KS) 3-1. ![]() GPAC Men's Soccer 2-0 in NAIA Opening Round Action The NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round had many exciting moments and big finishes. The GPAC enjoyed the day with a pair of wins. Dana defeated St. Ambrose 3-1, as Travis Barton netted a Hat Trick. Hastings and Hannibal-La Grange played to a 1-1 deadlock and the Broncos advancd on Penalty Kicks 4-2.

![]() GPAC Women's Soccer 0-2 in NAIA Opening Round Action The NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round is complete. The 15 Opening Round winners will join host school Embry-Riddle (Fla.) at the final site of the 25th Annual Women's Soccer National Championship from Dec. 1-6 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Dordt and Hastings each dropped Opening Round Matches. Dordt lost to Park on Penalty Kicks (5-3) after playing to a 1-1 deadlock, while Graceland defeated Hastings 4-0. ![]() Gilworth and the Mustangs Score 65 Points in Round One The 2008 NAIA Football Championship Series (FCS) First Round was highlighted by high-scoring offenses while six of the eight host schools advanced to the Quarterfinals. The winners averaged 43 points and one FCS combined scoring record was tied. The 113 combined points scored in the 65-48 win by Lindenwood (Mo.) over Lambuth (Tenn.) tied the national FCS record. GPAC representitives Sioux Falls and Morningside each posted First Round wins. |
