The MdS is a 6 day / 151 mile (243km) endurance race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco, normally taking place at the end of March / beginning of April.

Who are "The Best of Morocco"?
The Best of Morocco is a specialist tour operator offering a very wide selection of tailor made holidays to Morocco. The company has existed since 1971 and is considered the leading specialist in this field.

Patrick Bauer, the founder and race director of the MdS, contacted us in the early 1990's for our knowledge and experience of Morocco. There had never been a British or Irish competitor and he wanted to know if we would be interested in promoting the MdS in the UK and Ireland. In our first year, we had 6 Brits and it has grown from there. We now have the largest contingent of competitors with 220 entrants in 2007.
